How to delete your Bumble account in 2026
What you need to know first
Snooze Mode pauses your profile (24h/72h/1 week/Indefinitely, reversible, keeps matches); deleting permanently removes the account after a 28-day restore window.
Step-by-step: delete your data from Bumble
- Step 1: Open the Bumble app and tap the profile icon
- Step 2: Tap the gear icon to open Settings
- Step 3: Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account
- Step 4: Choose your reason for leaving
- Step 5: Confirm by following the final on-screen prompt
Separate data request
Submit a data-deletion request via Bumble Support for faster erasure (can take ~30 days)
Key gotchas
- Snooze Mode does not pause your subscription
- Cancel Bumble Boost, Premium or Premium+ before deleting — subscriptions may not cancel automatically
- Deleting the app, or going inactive, does not delete your profile
- Matches without an active chat expire while you are in Snooze Mode
- If the in-app flow fails, Support can delete the account after verifying you own it
What this doesn't cover
Data already shared with partners or scraped by third parties is not retracted by deletion.
Deleting Bumble removes your profile but not brokered/scraped copies of your photos and details.
