How to Opt Out of Training and Delete Your Data in Perplexity (2026)

Step-by-step: delete your data from Perplexity
- Step 1: Sign in at perplexity.ai
- Step 2: Click your profile name (bottom-left) > All settings
- Step 3: Open the Preferences tab
- Step 4: Scroll to the Artificial Intelligence section
- Step 5: Toggle OFF 'AI data retention'
- Step 6: Delete individual Threads from your Library; delete account via Account settings or support
On mobile
- Open the Perplexity app > profile/menu > Settings
- Find the AI data retention toggle and turn it off
